Boss Lift
Program
A boss
lift offers employers an opportunity to
visit military installations throughout
the nation to observe National Guard and
Reserve members involved in training
exercises.
Employers see first hand the
quality of training and leadership
activities their uniformed employees
receive as part of the total force. The
sites selected for boss lifts usually
emphasize National Guard and Reserve and
can include multiple branches of the
military.
|
 |
|
|
|
Boss
lifts also provide employers the
opportunity to share their insights on
the challenges and benefits of having
employees that serve in the Reserve
components. Participants are asked about
their concerns regarding their
employees. They are encouraged to offer
recommendations and ideas for improving
the employer/employee relationship with
respect to the consequences of military
service. Lastly, employers are asked
about their overall assessment of
employer support programs and services.
